An analytical essay means you will need to present some type of argument, or claim, about what you are analyzing. An analytical essay is not a summary. Analytical essays usually concentrate on how the piece was written – for example how certain themes present themselves in a story.
Scholars are asked to:

- The pros and cons of teenagers getting jobs.
- The responsibility of parents teaching their teenagers about money.
- Consider what it may be like for teenagers having responsibilities, reasons for earning money, and the things that they should look out for when making purchasing/life decisions.
- Now consider the impact the speaker’s decisions have on you.
